Minutes of Annual General Meeting
10th February 2010

            Attendees:      Colin TRICKETT, David COLE, Joy POWELL, Steve FIELD, Dominic GEORGE, Marc DALLING, Martin HASKINS, Ken MILLER, Alexis MARESCAUX

            The minutes of the 2009 AGM were read and unanimously approved.

             Vote for the Committee
            All of the outgoing committee with defined roles had been nominated for re-election. Colin TRICKETT proposed, David COLE seconded the motion that these nominees be re-elected en bloc – carried unanimously.
            There remained two members without portfolio to be elected. Ken MILLER had been nominated for re-election and Alex LALLJEE had been nominated as a    newcomer to the committee. Both were elected unanimously.  Proposed Dominic        GEORGE, seconded Martin HASKINS.
            Thus the committee elected for seasons 2010 and 2011 is as under :-

            UK based Peter Hall, who manages our web-site, will continue to be co-opted onto the committee when available.

               
            Agreement of Financial Statement

            David Cole presented the accounts in the absence of Treasurer, J ohn Holmes
            -  key points summarised below :-

            Balance Sheet healthy with just over 5000 euros in the bank but it would be    prudent to organise fund-raising event early this year to protect cash-flow since most of our expenditure is incurred before the season starts.

            Income ( v budget)
            Subscriptions slightly down but expected to improve this year.
            Donations – 600 euros from James Luckes was carried over from previous year            and committed to advertising.
            Fund-raising – this heading included cricket (bar) takings. A good result (3750 v            budget 2500), the key contributors being Presidents Day with 600 euros (well done Colin), the Xmas Draw/Quiz Night brought in circa 1200 euros (well done           Marc and helpers) and bar takings, thanks to Joy's brainchild weighed in with    nearly 2000 euros !

            Expenditure ( v budget)
            Overspend on field maintenance (roller hire),  balanced by underspend on cricket          equipment.
            Match costs were swelled by travel subsidies and balanced by big savings on     insurance (thanks to John Holmes efforts).

            Conclusion
            Unanimous approval of accounts (proposed Colin T, seconded David C) and big           vote of thanks to John Holmes for his unstinting efforts throughout the year.
